Psychiatric and social disorders

The approach is in all the multidisciplinary services managed by the cooperative, for and with the user with his individual expressions, in his desire for self-determination and in the
manifestations of what its social context is and what conditions it daily.

During its history, Città Azzurra has become more and more specialized in the field of mental illness, thanks to its twenty-year experience in managing psychiatric communities. In recent years it has also become an expert in the management of collective apartments, always for psychiatric patients.

Città Azzurra manages il Girasole, the historical community of the cooperative; a psychiatric rehabilitation residential structure, open 24/7 for 365 days a year. From September 2022, the cooperative has returned to collaborate with the Social Services Agency of Bolzano. The service being managed is a Day Centre for Disability, open for 52 weeks a year, from Monday to Friday from 08.30 to 15.30.
Within these services, both for the treatment of mental and social discomfort, there are several proposed activities, among which are to mention:

support and training in home management/administration (e.g. cooking, cleaning, washing, shopping, managing contacts with banks, authorities, condominium administrations);
the development of an individualised care plan
assistance to all 28 rehabilitation areas provided by the VADO system
management and administration of medications
working groups
canteen service tailored to individual dietary needs
orthotherapy
ergotherapy
music therapy
theater therapy
sea trips and stays
